• OB Odense have lost only four of their 12 home games this term
  • Esbjerg have picked up only five points from a possible 36 in 12 away league games this season
  • Esbjerg have failed to score in just two of their last 16 Danish Superliga games

OB Odense are without victory in ten league games but have shared the spoils in three of their last four and should find the challenge of poor travellers Esbjerg easier.

The hosts were not disgraced in defeat at third-placed AGF Aarhus last weekend, losing 1-0, and we are predicting an improved performance on their return to home soil.

OB Odense have lost only four of their 12 home games this season, with their defeats coming against the division’s current top-four teams. They were, however, competitive in each and scored against Copenhagen (3-2), Midtjylland (2-1) and AGF Aarhus (2-1).

Esbjerg have picked up only five points in 12 away games this season and their only victory was recorded at rock-bottom club Silkeborg.

EFB, however, evidently carry an attacking threat having failed to score in just two of their last 16 Danish Superliga games.

With both defences prone to mistakes, the net should be expected to bulge at both ends but it is OB Odense who can capitalise on Esbjerg’s travel sickness.
