• RB Leipzig scored 11 times in their last three league games.
  • Each of those fixtures saw over 3.5 goals scored.
  • RB Leipzig lost just one of their last 21 Bundesliga home matches.
  • Bottom club Paderborn shipped six goals against Dortmund in their last outing.

RB Leipzig maintain Champions League charge

RB Leipzig maintained their unbeaten run since the campaign’s restart on Monday evening with a fine 4-2 win against Cologne at the RheinEnergieSTADION.

Die Roten Bullen’s record of two wins and two draws since the resumption of play represents a solid return, however, with competition near the summit of the table intense, their haul of eight points from a possible 12 has all but eliminated them from the title race.

Instead, RB are now looking over their shoulders and with just two points between Leipzig in 3rd and Leverkusen in 5th, they will need to keep the wins coming to ensure they secure Champions League football for next season.

Luckily for them, Julian Nagelsmann’s charges host the Bundesliga’s bottom club Paderborn on Saturday in a fixture that should be viewed as a comfortable home win.

Goals on offer for Leipzig

Die Roten Bullen’s forward line has been purring over the past fortnight, rattling home 11 goals across their last three assignments against Mainz, Hertha and Cologne, with Timo Werner, Patrick Schick and Christopher Nkunku in particular putting in some sparkling displays.

With the team’s cutting-edge looking razor sharp, Leipzig will expect to cut loose again against a Paderborn outfit that were hit for six by 2nd placed Borussia Dortmund on Sunday.

Without a win in any of their last 10 Bundesliga fixtures, Paderborn are destined to exit Germany’s top-flight with a whimper, and Steffen Baumgart’s men should arrive in Leipzig more than a little fragile following their biggest defeat of the campaign so far at home to a Sancho-inspired Dortmund.

High scoring home win likely

Over 3.5 goals were registered when RB Leipzig came out on the right side of a five-goal thriller in the reverse league meeting between Die Roten Bullen and Paderborn in November last year – though we don’t expect Saturday’s rematch to be quite so close.

RB Leipzig racked up an eye-watering 50 attempts on goal in their last three Bundesliga matches, and the hosts have the firepower and the form to blow Paderborn away this weekend.

With those factors considered, we think the home win and over 3.5 goals combination holds plenty of value for Saturday’s game, while our correct score prediction points towards a 4-0 Leipzig win.

Die Roten Bullen scored four or more goals in two of their last three Bundesliga contests, and this weekend, RB’s on-fire frontline will be taking aim against a Paderborn side that failed to register in each of their last three away assignments.
