• Smolevichy are without a win in the league this season.
  • Gorodeya have picked up more points on the road than at home this season.
  • Both teams have scored in 50% of Gorodeya’s away games.

Smolevichy failed to secure their first win of the season last time out, instead, they lost 2-1 away at Torpedo BeIAZ and remain second from bottom in the Belarus Premier League with just 4pts from their opening ten matches. Gorodeya sit one place and 8pts above Friday’s hosts but went down 2-0 at home to Neman Grodno on Monday night.

Both teams head into this match in poor form but Smolevichy will be the more desperate of the two clubs to secure 3pts on Friday as they have failed to win any of their opening ten league games. Gorodeya actually head into the match as the form favourites having lost three and drawn three of their last six in the league.

When these two teams meet there are usually goals in the game at both ends of the pitch, with five of the duo’s last seven encounters seeing both teams score. Both teams have also scored in four of Smolevichy’s and four of Gorodeya’s last six matches, so you can see why we’re backing both teams to score on Friday.

The hosts have only kept one clean sheet in their last six attempts and Gorodeya have failed to keep a single clean sheet during that same period of games, with three of the visitors’ last five matches ending in 1-1 draws. With both teams struggling for for wins we have predicted a final scoreline of 1-1, which probably suits the visitors more than Smolevichy.
